Sylvia Avila: AI Adoption Partner & Leadership Advisor
She helps HR, L&D and business leaders in Malaysia and Singapore get their teams using AI well, by changing how people think about the work before changing which tools they use.

The Short Version
Who You Are Working With
Sylvia Avila is an AI Adoption Partner & Leadership Advisor based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She is an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer and runs the AI Confidence workshop, a one-day programme for corporate teams in Malaysia and Singapore. Before founding her practice in 2026, she spent seven years at Mindvalley, from August 2019 to July 2026, in operations leadership roles. She is Colombian and has lived in Malaysia since 2019.
If you lead an HR, L&D or business function, you are probably being asked to make AI adoption happen, without much clarity on what that actually means for your people. Sylvia's work sits exactly there. She translates the noise around AI into a practical way of working that your team can apply the next morning.
Her background is operations, not software. Seven years of running projects, studios and localisation teams inside a fast-moving company taught her how adoption really happens: through the people doing the work, one real task at a time.
What She Believes
AI Is Not a Tool Problem. It's a Thinking Problem.
Tools change every quarter. The way your people reason about what to delegate, how to describe the work, how to judge the output and how to follow through does not. That is the layer Sylvia trains, because it is the layer that lasts.
- Most AI training teaches tools. Your team needs a way of thinking that survives the next tool change.
- Adoption is a leadership decision before it is a technical one. Clarity at the top sets the pace for everyone else.
- People learn AI on their own work, not on generic exercises. Real documents, real tasks, real judgement calls.
- Confidence comes from having built something, not from having watched a demo.
How She Works
The 4D Framework, Applied to Your Work
Every session is built on the 4D Framework: Delegation, Description, Discernment, Diligence. It is a structured way of thinking through any AI task, not a list of prompts to memorise. You decide what to hand over, describe it well, judge what comes back, and follow through responsibly.
Three Layers, One Session
Mindset
How your leaders and teams think about AI: what it is for, where it belongs in the work, and what good judgement looks like when the output is wrong.
Culture
The shared language and habits that stop adoption depending on two enthusiastic early adopters. Everyone uses the same framework, so the whole team moves together.
Hands-on operations
The practical build. Participants set up their own working AI assistant on their real tasks during the session, so nothing needs translating afterwards.
The rule that never changes: every session is built on participants' real work. Your team brings the documents, reports and decisions they handle every week, and that is what they practise on. No hypothetical case studies.
